The action-packed promo puts the spotlight on the upcoming season's main antagonist, Garou, showcasing his monstrous strength and setting the stage for his inevitable clash with the series' ever-bored protagonist, Saitama.

This news comes after a long period of radio silence surrounding the project. Season three was initially announced a few years back, but details remained scarce until now.

Fans may recall the controversy surrounding the animation studio change for season two. While Madhouse was responsible for the critically acclaimed first season, J.C. Staff took the reins for the second, receiving mixed reviews due to perceived animation quality issues. This has naturally led to some apprehension among fans regarding the animation quality of season three.

However, alongside the trailer, a new synopsis for the upcoming season has also been released, offering a glimpse into what Saitama and the other heroes can expect:

"After three years of 'special training,' Saitama has become so strong that he's practically invincible. In fact, he's too strong—even his mightiest opponents are taken out with a single punch. Alongside Genos, his faithful disciple, Saitama performs his official hero duties as a member of the Hero Association. One day, monsters claiming to be from the Monster Association suddenly appear, taking a child of a Hero Association executive hostage. The S-class heroes gather and plan a raid on the Monster Association hideout to rescue the hostage. Meanwhile, Garou, a 'human monster' who was taken by the Monster Association during a battle with the heroes, awakens in the Monster Association hideout."

For those who haven't yet experienced the hilarious and action-packed world of One-Punch Man, the first two seasons are available to stream on Crunchyroll. The manga, illustrated by Yusuke Murata, is still ongoing and can be read through the Shonen Jump app.
