Ghost of Tsushima, the hit Play Station game just got a PC port and it’s undoubtedly the best PC port of a Play Station game yet with it’s steller optimization.Ghost of Tsushima is an action-adventure game that was developed by Sucker Punch Productions and was published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The game follows a samurai called Jin Sakai on his quest on protecting the Tsushima Island during the first Mongol Invasion of Japan.

Released in 2020 for Playstation 4 and later in 2021 for Playstation 5, it became one of the fastest selling game for the PlayStation. The official PC port for Ghost Of Tsushima got released on May 16, 2024. Nixxes Software has done an excellent job on this PC port ensuring that Jin Sekai’s adventure runs smoothly on even a low-end PC.
System requirements for playing the game requires a 4-core CPU and any budget GPU with 4-8 GB VRAM. Most modern PCs have this spec. Just this system requirements show how good the game’s optimization is. With the game having low system requirements, a huge number of low-end PC gamers are rushing to play this port and enjoy the adventure.
The day one experience of playing Ghost of Tsushima is pristine. In the grand scheme of things, I don’t have any major complaints with the port. Most players are very happy with this port as it runs at a higher resolution and framerate on pc than the PS5 version of Ghost Of Tsushima.
Although the lack of eye-popping features like Ray Tracing and it’s pre-rendered cutscenes are slightly disappointing. Over on Steam, the game sits at a ‘Very Positive‘ aggregate review rating after more than 13,348 positive reviews and only 1,731 negative reviews. Ghost of Tsushima had an all-time peak of 77,154 players on steam. Players are leaving reviews like, “ Amazing. Runs flawless. 3060ti maxed out everything.“ along with “ No glitches. No stuttering. Perfect the moment you open it.“.
We can safely say that players are very happy with this port. One of the most exciting thing about this release is the mod support that will come with it. With PC modding community already on the works, various Reshades and QoL mods are already circulating all over the internet. These Reshades and QoL mods change how the game looks and feel like and it will only get better. Ghost of Tsushima is also the first PC port to include Play Station trophy support.
Although this made the game unavailable in countries with no way to legally create a PSN account. Ghost Of Tsushima is one of Nixxes’s best PC port. Compared to other PC ports of Playstation games, this one’s a clear winner and it will keep getting better with patches and Quality-of-Life updates. Ghost Of Tsushima is available on PS4, PS5 and PC. The movie version was announced a year after the initial release.
